In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…

Whoa, whoa whoa. Wait just a minute there. So you’re telling me that in the beginning there was nothing. No heavens, no earth, nothing?

That’s right. Nothing, no thing. God created it all.

How is that even possible? I mean, What did he create it out of if there were nothing? What material did he use to create everything if there was nothing?

To God, all things are possible. Nothing is impossible. With God, all things are possible.

Well I’ve got a little problem with that. If there was nothing at all, where did God come from? How do you know god’s a “He” for that matter? God had to exist somewhere, some how, Right? There had to be something for God to exist at all. Even if god is all powerful, God had to come from somewhere!

These questions and many more like them have perplexed me from a very young age. It just didn’t make sense, even to my young mind. I was told by my Sunday school teachers, my pastor, even my mother to just accept it on faith. Just believe, they would say. So, I tried it their way, but, the more I learned, the more questions I had. No one could give me a satisfactory answer to any of it. So I decided to just give up. It all sounded to fantastical to be true anyway. For a long time I didn’t believe anything, but, the older I got, the more it weighed on my mind. There must be something going on. There had to be some answers to my questions, somewhere. I still didn’t believe any of what I read in the bible. I mean, Who is this King James anyway and why should I trust his interpretation of what happened thousands of years before he was even around. As a matter of fact, even the people who wrote the original script weren’t around to witness the events they were writing about. They were just writing down stories they had heard. Stories that had been handed down generation after generation. Who knows how many times these stories had been misinterpreted and elaborated on? Still, There must be some truth somewhere and I had to find it. That’s all there was to it.

What better place to start than with the Source, God himself, or herself, or itself. I don’t know, at least not yet, but I was determined to find out. So I thought on it, studied on it, read on it. Anything I could get my hands on. Remember, this was a time before Google or YouTube had been heard of. I had no idea where to look. I was just a simple country boy, floundering around in the dark. About a year or so ago, a couple friends had given me a couple small books to read. One was James Allen’s, “As a Man Thinkith,” the other was, “Meditating in the Silence” by E.V. Ingraham. I was reading them both, at the same time. One at home, one while at work.

One night while I was at work, I had an epiphany, a Divine revelation if you will. It all came to me at once. An instant download. All the information I had been seeking, all the answers, all at once. An information overload. I started scribbling this information down as fast as I could. I didn’t want to forget any of it. Little did I know at the time, I couldn’t forget any of it if I wanted. Those initial scribblings I called, “The grand experiment” When you read it you’ll know why, but this essay is just to deal with the beginning. What follows is what came to me about the beginning. I hope it can answer some question you may have.

These things I know to be true. They were given to me by Source, by the Universe.

Here is the version of In The Beginning I know in my heart, in my soul to be true.

In the beginning there was All. All that ever was, All that is now and All that ever will be. All was All and All was one. There was nothing more than All. All was infinitely small with All the power of all that was, All that is and all that ever will be. Something happened within All. All awoke and All knew that All was. The first consciousness, The first feeling, The first thought.

“I Am”

All knew that All was the “I Am” and I Am knew it was All. I Am did not know what it was, only that it was. I Am could not know itself because there was nothing to compare itself to. I Am was All and there was nothing more.

Imagine, if you will, that you were born into a complete void. Nothing to see, only blackness. Nothing to hear, only silence, Nothing to feel, only emptiness. You would know that you were, that you existed, but you wouldn’t know what you were.

I Am knew that if there were another I Am that it could know itself by comparing itself to the other. But there was no other, just the All, The I Am. I am knew that if it could divide itself in two, then it could know itself by know the other and the other could know itself by knowing the first. I Am would still be all but there would be two and the two would be the I AM.

I Am saw that it was now two but still all. I Am knew itself better than before but wanted to know more. I Am knew that if it divided itself into many it would still be All but it could know itself better than by be just two.

The I Am decided to divide itself into many so with the power of All, in the blink of an eye,

BANG !!!!

I Am created the Universe. The Universe is all that is and all that ever will be and the Universe is The I Am. The consciousness of the I Am is now the consciousness of the Universe. I Am saw that this was good and it could know itself as never before but I Am wanted more.

I Am then divided it’s own consciousness into the many and the consciousness was then put into all things. These first beings, “creatures” were very simple, single cells, with very limited mobility and senses, yet I Am placed within these beings a piece of itself, The I Am consciousness. I Am said unto these beings, Experience your environments, create anew, grow and experience. So it was with in these simple creatures that I Am created in it’s own image, It’s own likeness, The soul of the I Am.

Now the I Am, through these beings, through the souls, the I Am consciousness, could know itself as never before. These beings grew and experienced their environments. They grew and joined together, Divided, evolved and grew. Within all creatures is the I Am consciousness, the soul, the All. That that was created in the image of the Creator is in all creatures so that the I Am can know itself, the Universe as never before.

All souls are one with the I am and the I am is one with all souls.

We are one, One is all, God is within us, We are one with God!
